Company of Heroes 3 Receives Release Year
Eight years after the release of Company of Heroes 2, we now finally have a timeframe for the third game in the series. While we don’t have a specific date yet, we do know it’ll be sometime in 2022.
David Littman, executive producer for the latest title, says the game will embrace a “Dynamic Campaign Map” in a similar vein to the Total War RTS series - where players decisions in the game have long-lasting effects throughout the rest of the playthrough.
I recommend you check out Nate Crowley’s pre-alpha review of the game for a better idea of what to expect. His final thoughts on it give a nice look into what we can expect as a whole:
“Simply put, there's an awful lot of freedom offered to the player, and the variability resulting from it serves as an invitation to play over and over again, trying out alternative methods.”
Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl Announced
IGN announced that Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl has been in development and will be releasing Fall 2021 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. The game is a brawling game in similar fashion to Super Smash Bros, but with Nickelodeon characters.
While a full character list hasn’t been released yet, 14 characters were announced already, such as: SpongeBob, Danny Phantom, Leonardo (TMNT), and Reptar (Rugrats). There will be 20 levels based off of Nickelodeon shows on release and the game will support a single player, multiplayer and local mode.
If you’re a fan of brawlers, or just love you some Nickelodeon nostalgia, check out the trailer:
Minecraft Dungeons DLC & Ultimate Edition
Echoing Void, the sixth and potentially final DLC for Minecraft Dungeons, is slated to release July 28th.
The expansion will take players to ‘The End’, which is the home of the Enderman and the final boss area in the main Minecraft game. Mojang confirmed this will be the final arc of the Dungeons series, but that doesn’t mean there’s not more to come later on. This could potentially mean a different arc, but we can only speculate for now.
Releasing along with Echoing Void will be Minecraft Dungeons: Ultimate Edition. This edition will contain all six expansions, including Echoing Void. This edition will be suited for people who want to play the game with all the expansions without buying them all separately. The Ultimate Edition will release July 28th alongside the Echoing Void DLC.
Persona 25th Anniversary
In honor of the 25th anniversary of Persona coming in September, Atlus has advised, through a new website, there will be seven projects that will be announced, starting in September of 2021 and going through to Fall of 2022.
It’s important to note that it’s unlikely all seven projects will be games, as Atlus expanded on it slightly:
“We will be announcing various anniversary events such as 25th anniversary goods, various events, collaborations, and of course game information. We will be announcing a variety of special events in the near future. Please stay tuned.”
We’ll certainly have more information come September, but until then all we can do is ponder what Atlus may have in store for us.
