→ People Go Hands-On With the Steam Deck
A number of Steam Deck dev kits have been sent out to a bunch of developers in order to test their games. Valve claimed them to be “units that are functionally identical to what will ship…”
Mike Rose of No More Robots had an interesting Twitter thread, showing off the console (which was able to play his games with very little work on his end).
Consensus seems to be that even if a game only supports keyboard and mouse, the touch screen works well.
→ Apple Denies Fortnite Return
Reading Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney’s Twitter thread on this should tell you everything you need to know.
The gist: Epic asked to bring Fortnite back to the App Store now that the court cases have concluded. Apple said no, but would reconsider once Epic is done appealing the court’s decision.
→ Nintendo Direct Scheduled for Tomorrow
Nintendo is having a Direct event tomorrow at 6pm ET. It will be 40 minutes long, and will focus on Switch games releasing this holiday.
→ The Sims 4 Gets Free Update
The latest update for Sims 4 allows 1200 more colour variants for a bunch of different items. If you’ve ever been frustrated about matching colours in the game, that should be at least somewhat mitigated now.
