You know what game I wasn’t expecting at E3? Mario Party Superstars. Did you ever play any of those? I played that game a whole lot on the N64 and GameCube. We ended up trying Super Mario Party, but it didn’t have the same pull as the previous ones had. I’m looking forward to Superstars though, as it seems it may be taking more from the older games.
Don’t get me wrong, I was not ready for the Metroid Prime Dread announcement, but I wanted to hear about it. The difference is I didn’t even know I wanted to hear about another Mario Party until they announced it.
The Breath of the Wild sequel, Skyward Sword HD - There’s suddenly so much to be excited for coming to the Switch!
Until next time,

Grand Theft Auto Online Having Online Services Shut Down on PS3 & 360
Rockstar has decided to shut down the online services for multiple games, most notably being GTA Online on the PS3 and Xbox 360. The online mode has been up since October of 2013 on this older gen.
Rockstar confirmed they will still be continuing to support GTA Online on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The main game will still be playable on PS3 & 360, but the Online portion specifically will not be.
While this can be disappointing if you’re still playing on the older gen, 8 years of supporting older console hardware is quite a bit of time. For any of you still playing on those older consoles, you will still have access to the online mode until December 16, 2021. They also will be stop selling Shark Cards on September 16 for the PS3 & Xbox 360.
Xbox Cloud Streaming Bringing Series X Exclusives to Xbox One
Microsoft is leveraging its own ‘play anywhere’ methodology to bring Series X exclusives to the Xbox One. Utilizing their Cloud Streaming service, Microsoft will be bringing games like: Microsoft Flight Simulator, Redfall, Starfield, and Stalker 2 to the Xbox One.
The problem with consoles is the hardware is limited and harder to keep up-to-date. With a wider acceptance of streaming, we can potentially see outdated hardware, like the Xbox One, have a longer lifespan thanks to the power of servers streaming the game to you. It’s really a cool system that will help lift the burden of having to upgrade consoles just to experience the latest and greatest games.
Xbox exclusive, The Medium, Coming to PlayStation 5
Previously an exclusive for the Xbox Series X|S & PC, The Medium will now be coming to PlayStation 5. This will also be the first time that the game gets a physical release!
The psychological horror received some average reviews, with a critic average of 75 on OpenCritic. General consensus around the game seems to be that it had some unique mechanics and interesting exploration, but the narrative felt tedious to some and just repetitive in areas.
The game will release for the PS5 on September 3, 2021.
700+ Game Demos Available for a Limited Time on Steam
Over 700 titles on Steam are now available for demo play for a limited time. Notably, all demos are games that are planning to launch prior to January 2022. So anything you try out, you can buy within six months!
The beauty of this demo-extravaganza is that the titles are upcoming, so you’ll get to enjoy some sneak peaks at games you’re unsure if you’re interested in without having to sneak a peak into your wallet.
It’s free to try with no commitments, so I highly recommend you check out their list of games and find some that interest you! The Next Fest ends June 22nd, so my recommendation is to be concise and find titles you’re unsure about but interested in.
