✏️ From the Author
At this point, I think the industry is content to keep most things under wraps this month until Gamescom. Some shorter stories for you today.
I’m exhausted yet again, so I’m going to go pass out now! I hope you’re well and taking care of yourself.
Until next time,

Ghosts of Tsushima: Legends Adding New Mode
Ghosts of Tsushima’s online mode (called Legends), is receiving a new mode for their online matches - Rivals. In Rivals, players will compete as a team of two versus another team of two. Players will work within their team to defeat waves of enemies.
Each defeat will provide a currency, Magatama, that you can then spend to affect the gameplay of the competing team. These can range from stopping the enemy team from making purchases, drain their health, explode enemies, and more. The team who spends enough Magatama and reaches, and defeats, their final wave wins.
Rivals will be available to all who own the game. For those who do not own the game, they can purchase the multiplayer mode only for $20 USD. If you want my personal recommendation, just purchase the Director’s Cut that is releasing August 20th. It’s a fantastic campaign and gorgeous game.
Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania Reveals New Character
When I say Super Monkey Ball to you, what’s the first thing that comes to your mind? If your knee-jerk reaction is to reply “Jet Set Radio”, then you are in for some crazy luck (but also, really? Really?!).
If you haven’t guessed by now, the latest character coming to the soon-to-release Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania is none other than Beat from Jet Set Radio. The early 2000’s are calling your Nokia, so you best answer it.
There was a leak some time ago that Sonic and Tails may also appear as playable skins in the game, but no official confirmation as of yet. Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania is releasing for Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation and Xbox on October 5th.
New World Delayed Again
After just finishing its closed beta earlier this week, New World has announced their fourth delay. The game was set to release August 31st, but has now been pushed back to September 28th.
The delay isn’t too surprising however, and Amazon cites the reason as implementing feedback from the closed beta:
“We want New World’s launch to be a smooth and fun experience for all players, and that means making some improvements based on what you encountered in the closed beta, so we’re going to take a few extra weeks to smash bugs, improve stability, and polish the game.”
Brandon’s Thoughts: I got to play a handful of hours during the beta, making it to only level 15. It ran pretty well and I don’t remember experiencing any issues. From my own experience with it, I think they’ll be able to achieve this September release date.
