In the news: Nintendo had their Indie World Showcase and that's pretty much it!

✏️ From the Author
Another pretty lackluster day in the news. With Gamescom coming Aug 25th, I’m thinking it’s another situation of developers holding out news to be released until the event.
I also wanted to give a big thanks to the TGO community. Several people reached out to me after my last letter and it only reinforced my already tremendous love of this community. I truly thank you for the kind words.
Hopefully we’ll get some more newsworthy items soon and the newsletter can be back to normal operating procedure.
Until next time,
Brandon
Nintendo's Indie World Showcase
There were quite a few titles announced at the event. For a full list, check out this Eurogamer article.
Below I’ve listed some standouts that I found interesting:
Necrobarista: Final Pour - The title looks really cool and like it’ll be a perfect fit for the Switch. I always like a light novel that’s done well. With this Switch version, they’ve also added some new content and remastered the visuals. The game is out now on the Nintendo eShop.
Axiom Verge 2 - Another good fit for the mobility of the Switch. It’s very Metroid-like in its look, which is certainly no bad thing. It’s available now.
Boyfriend Dungeon - When was the last time you played a dungeon crawler and your first thought was, “if only this was also a dating sim…”? Well, your dreams may just be coming true, because this game is a dungeon crawler and dating sim wrapped up into one. Your weapons transform into humans and that’s how they interact with you outside of the dungeon crawling. You know, as weapons tend to do. It’s available now.
TOEM - An adorable title that, yet again, really looks like it was made for the Switch. You play the part of an amateur photographer and have quests of taking certain types of pictures to complete. I’m sure it sounds boring, but it looks very cute! It will be available in the Fall of this year.
