Cyberpunk Delayed
The highly anticipated Cyberpunk 2077 has been delayed for a third time, being pushed back three weeks to a release date of December 10th.
According to their Twitter, while the game may have “gone gold” (a phrase used to indicate that content is complete), there’s a number of improvements to be made to the game, and probably some certifications to pass. They highlighted that developing 9 different versions of the game (one per platform) is also a challenge.
Despite it being a big talking point around the game, their statement made no mention of the company’s policy of crunch culture. Worst of all, the employees of CD Projekt Red found out about the delay at the same time as the rest of the world:
Many people will be upset that they can’t get their hands on the game in November, but if anything this should be an indication to hold off for a few weeks. Last-minute delays like this mean that they’ll continue working on improvements for a few weeks afterwards as well.

General Ubisoft Update

Ubisoft shared that a number of their games are going to benefit from next-gen improvements, which you might want to know about if you plan on picking up a new Xbox or PlayStation.
Here’s a list of games, and the benefits they’ll be getting:
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla - 4K60FPS, free upgrade, cross-progression
Immortals Fenyx Rising - 4K60FPS, free upgrade, cross-progression, haptic feedback
Far Cry 6 - 4K60FPS, free upgrade
Riders Republic - 4K60FPS, free upgrade
Rainbow Six Siege - 4K120FPS, free upgrade
Watch Dogs: Legion - ray-tracing, free upgrade, haptic feedback
If you want a deeper dive into any of those, check out their blog post.
Ubisoft also rebranded their subscription service, Uplay+, into Ubisoft+, and will be providing the service on both Google Stadia and Amazon Luna by 2021. This makes sense, considering Uplay itself rebranded to Ubisoft Connect. Uplay no more!
Finally, they have also announced a partnership with Netflix to produce a live-action Assassin’s Creed series. That’s pretty much all we know though, you can see the 7 second teaser here:
3D All-Stars Camera Fix Inbound
Source: Eurogamer
If you happened to pick up Super Mario 3D All-Stars, you may have also had an issue with the camera controls. Which is to say, there is no option for an inverted camera. Not only is this a weird thing to leave out in 2020, it was also in the original games (and even encouraged in Sunshine!).
This will now be rectified on November 17th! Inverted controls are on the way.
