TGO Daily | March 16, 2021 | Star Citizen Funding / Grab-Bag
March 16, 2021
Happy Tuesday! I don’t think I was really able to add anything to today’s stories that wasn’t capture in the headline or a brief description. So today I’m just throwing a bunch of stories out there for you, and you’re welcome to read more if you’re interested :)
Have a good one,
Adrian
The Grab-Bag
Star Citizen has raised $350 million lifetime. They hit a major month of funding in November with close to $17 million raised, due to an expo which dramatically opened up the game to new players. Despite being in development for ten years, it still hasn’t fully released.
Rockstar fixing poor load times in GTA Online with a relatively simple solution. They thanked a player who identified this issue at the beginning of March, who reduced loading times by 70%. Pretty wild that internal developers weren’t able to catch this considering how bad the loading times are in the game.
Delisted game Devotion is now being sold directly through the developer’s website. The game was taken off of Steam and GOG last year after the game was brigaded for mocking the President of China (which the developers claim were inadvertent).
StreamElements releases statistics about Twitch viewership. Chess is at an all-time high, raising 20 million hours watched since last year.
PlayStation 4 “communities” feature will be shut down. This let you create groups around specific games or genres, allowing you to find people to play with. No more!
Fall Guys Season 4 is releasing on March 22. It’s futuristic and will have an Among Us crossover.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla getting pretty big update ahead of Season 2.
Undertale arriving on Xbox for first time tomorrow, and will be on the Game Pass.

This newsletter is a companion/alternative to a mini-podcast I produce. The show is archived on YouTube, with most people listening on Amazon Alexa devices — but it’s also available on all podcast hosts. It’s also on Google Home, but I don’t have a link for that one!
And hey, if you like what I do, maybe consider sharing this newsletter with a friend?
