✏️ From the Author
It’s a lackluster way to finish off the week, but unfortunately there just isn’t a whole lot to cover today.
It’s funny, there are some weeks where there is so much news that its impossible to cover it all. Then there are weeks like this one, where we’re clamoring for the tiniest drop of anything interesting.
Such is the nature of the news cycle. In any event, we’re here to cover whatever news happens to pop its head above ground :)
Have a tremendous weeks folks. Hope you’re well.

Frostpunk 2 Announced
11 Bit Studios have announced Frostpunk 2, with no mention of release dates or platforms. Frostpunk is a survival management sim set in a frozen wasteland, where you have to keep citizens alive with a major central heat generator.
The game will take place 30 years after the original, with the primary resource moving from coal to oil. Here’s some snippets from the press release:
“In Frostpunk's successor, players are once again tasked with playing as the leader of a resource-hungry metropolis where the expansion and search for new sources of power is an unavoidable reality. But the apocalyptic world has moved on.”
“After the age of coal, conquering Frostland for the oil extraction industry is expected to be the new salvation of what's left of humanity. However, change does not come easily, and not everyone in this new multi-layered society will welcome this new direction."
The developers emphasized that all aspects of the game are going to be expanded on, as the team has grown significantly.
I was personally a pretty big fan of the first game. It had an amazing setting, and the mechanics were easy to grasp and hard to master. I think there’s a lot of potential with this franchise.
