An important TGO announcement!
✏️ From the Author
Hey folks! Adrian here.
I’ve been creating The Gaming Observer podcast for close to 3.5 years now, with this newsletter coming around in September 2020. It’s been an incredible journey, and I couldn’t be more thankful for everything that has happened because of it.
I’m at a turning point in my life right now. I just graduated University in April, and my partner Shelby and I plan on travelling the world early next year. There’s a lot of change happening, and I want to make sure that TGO is not one of those things changing.
As such, I’m asking for your help. After running TGO for almost 1200 days straight in my spare time, I want to try and turn this into something more — even if that’s just buying a few new games every month to review.
So, here’s the basic pitch: if this newsletter (or podcast, if you listen) brings you any kind of value, would you be willing to buy me a cup of coffee? $3/month, just as a way of saying thanks for bringing some value to you every day.
If that sounds like something you’re interested in, please head over to The Gaming Observer Patreon page. Here’s a preview:
As a bonus: if you sign up in the first week, I will send a personalized postcard right to your house! It’s the first time I’ve ever done a physical reward.
PLEASE NOTE: You can see some higher-priced tiers there, but I am not asking you to contribute to those. They are simply there because people have expressed interest supporting me more significantly, and that’s my attempt at trying to give something back.
The tiers above don’t have any newsletter-specific rewards just yet, because it has a significantly reduced audience size. However, I should note that all Producers will be listed at the end of this newsletter after the campaign has launched. In the future, we’ll be exploring some ideas for creative weekend editions of the newsletter :)
Of course, if you don’t think I’m worth the coffee, then no hard feelings at all! I certainly am not able to financially contribute to all of the creators that I would like to, and I haven’t put all my eggs in this basket.
Please only support TGO if you’re in a financial position to do so. I don’t want anyone getting in trouble on my behalf!
Finally, I just want to say thanks again. The Gaming Observer is my love letter to video games, and just having anyone who is interested in what I have to say has been a true honour.
Stay well, and we’ll be back with the news tomorrow!
